The weekend of 17 January 2026, saw the first part of this year Hampshire County Swimming Championships at the Winchester Leisure Centre 50m (Olympic-sized) pool.
Guernsey Swimming Club swimmer, Lola Williams, attended this weekend of distance events, competing in the gruelling long-distance races, a new experience for her. She took part in 1500m freestyle and the 400m Individual Medley, for the first time and in the 400m freestyle.
Lola did not disappoint, bringing home really good personal bests and she is now looking forward to her second weekend of County Championships at the end of February 2026.
