Guernsey Swimming Club swimmer, Emma Bourgaize (15), was invited to attend the Gocardless Swim England Summer National Championships, which took place at Ponds Forge in Sheffield over the week commencing 29th July. Emma competed in both the 50m and 100m Butterfly.
Emma swam the 100m fly in a time of 1.08.08 which was just outside of her personal best and placed her 22nd overall. In the 50m Fly Emma swam a personal best time of 29.90 in the heats, which gained her a place in the final, where she further improved her time to 29.43 to place her 5th overall.
Emma has shown a huge amount of resilience and determination throughout the competition and has made the whole GSC family proud.
