Saffery Champness Bay Swims
The next two bay swims in the series were swam over the last few weekends 39 swimmers braved the waters to compete the Portelet to Fort Gray swim. The first swimmer in was Kevin Penney 10.20 with Becky Simmons finishing a very close second 10.21. The youngest swimmer was Abbie Bran completing her first bay swim in a very respectable time of 20.57.
Last Sunday saw the completion of the closed castle swim with the wind picking up conditions changed from a nice smooth swim to sloppy choppy conditions for the slower swimmers finishing. Becky Simmons pipped Kevin Penney and Sophie De La Mare to the finish, 11 year old Sam Lowe had an excellent swim finishing in middle of the pack picking up maximum points in his age group, Nadine, Veronica and Millie finished the swim in a time of 27.20 having swam together chatting all the way well done to you all.
The last bay swim is Perelle this Sunday check in 9.30, if anyone can Kayak please just turn up on the day.
