A Guernsey Swimming Club swimmer attended the Winchester City Swimming Club Sparkler Open Meet on 16 and 17 December 2023. Samuel Cann, aged 13, took part in 6 different races in this long course meet.
Samuel achieved personal bests for all his swims and brought home two silver medals for the 200m and 400m Individual Medleys with a 13s and 8s pb respectively.
Samuel’s attendance enabled him to gain more valuable experience in a 50m pool and improve his qualifying times for the county championships in two months time.
