Eight swimmers from the Guernsey Swimming Club achieved qualifying times in the 14 Years & Under Hampshire County Championships, held on 4th and 5th February 2023 which took place in Winchester.
It was the first time Adam Beak (10), Holly Sarre (12), Scarlett-Rose Foss (13), Chloe Sarre (14) and Immy Bleasdale (14) swam and raced in a 50m pool. Additionally, it was Adam, Holly and Chloe’s first County Championships. Olly Stephens (14) also took part in the Championships.
Emma Bourgaize (14) reached the finals of various events and won gold for the 50m breaststroke and silver for the 50m and 100m freestyle, and the 50m and 100m butterfly. She additionally reached bronze for the 100m breaststroke.
Samuel Cann (13) also reached the finals for the 50m and 100m breaststroke, 50m breaststroke and was a reserve finalist for the 50m butterfly and 100m freestyle.
