The weekend of the 18th October 2025 saw four swimmers from the Guernsey Swimming Club compete at the Rushmore Royals Swimming Club Autumn Open Meet in Aldershot.
Scarlett-Rose Foss, Samuel Dunning, Samuel Cann and Corey De Jersey all swam exceptionally well throughout the competition. They displayed excellent team spirit, constantly cheering each other on and offering support both in and out of the pool.
Sam Cann achieved five personal best times, earning three gold medals and two silver medals.
Corey De Jersey swam in six events, setting personal bests across the board, and earned two silver medals and one bronze.
Samuel Dunning competed in eight events, posting personal bests in several and securing a bronze medal in the 200m backstroke.
Scarlett-Rose Foss raced in five events, earning a bronze medal in the 100m Butterfly.
The highlight of the weekend came during the third session, when both Corey and Samuel Dunning set personal bests in the same heat of the 50m freestyle.
“All four swimmers performed incredibly well throughout the weekend. They made us all proud, and it was a joy to celebrate their success with them.” said Head Coach, Heather Jackson.
