GASA OAK 100m Championships Results 2024

Well done to our swimmers who competed in the GASA OAK 100m Championships on Saturday 5th October. Some superb swimming with lots of personal best times set and medals claimed. Special thanks to the army of people who made the meet possible including sponsors, volunteers, officials and coaches.

In the Female 9 years old group, Poppy Sargeant reached 5 gold medals having entered each event, while Lennie Loveridge, Chloe Blumsom and Mia Le Tissier had great performances.
In the Open/Male 9 years old, Cameron Le Tissier medalled in all the events and Aaron Beak, Hugo Cann and Max Le Masurier achieved some good times even in events they entered for the first time.

The 10-11 years group, saw another plethora of swimmers. In the Female category, 10 girls entered and Ruby King, 11, brought home silver and bronze medals for each event of the Championships. Lily Smith, 10, and Gabriella Oudhof, 11, also managed to medal.
In the Open/Male age group, 5 boys took part. Adam Beak, 11, brought home a gold for the Butterfly and 3 silvers for his backstroke, Individual Medley and freestyle. William Le Tissier and Tate Loveridge also added to the GSC’s medals bounty.

In the 12-13 Female group, Grace King achieved gold for her breaststroke as well as silver for the backstroke, IM and Freestyle and a bronze for the butterfly. Isla Rault and Lola Williams achieved bronze for the backstroke, freestyle and IM respectively. Corey de Jersey, 13 years old, in 12-13 Open/Male age group, brought home bronze for all 5 events while Samuel Dunning achieved a personal best in all the events he entered.

In the 14-15 years old Female category, Emma Bourgaize, 15, achieved gold in the 5 events while Scarlett-Rose Foss brought home a silver for her backstroke.
In the Open/Male 14-15 age group, the only swimmer for the GSC, Samuel Cann, 14, brought home a 1st, 2nd and 3rd for his breaststroke, butterfly and IM respectively.

In the 16 and over Female events, Tara Kennedy reached silver and bronze for her backstroke and IM respectively.

The meet saw lots of personal bests for many of its competitors, with swimmers still working towards qualifying times for both the 2025 Hampshire County Championships and the 2025 Island Games.
