The Guernsey Swimming Club is proud to announce that this year’s BWCI Open Castle Swim was a record-breaking success, with over 700 swimmers taking to the water, raising an impressive £7,393.73. The club will be rounding up the total to £7,500, which will be equally divided among three local charities: St Peter Port Lifeboat, Channel Islands Airsearch, and the Guernsey Alzheimer’s Association. Each charity will receive £2,500 in support of their valuable work within the community.
Event organiser and Guernsey Swimming Club Sponsorship Co-Ordinator expressed their delight: “This year’s event was a huge success. It was great to see so many familiar and new faces take part. It really is a fantastic historic community event, raising money for some great local charities.”
The BWCI Open Castle Charity Swim, promoted locally by the Guernsey Swimming Club, has grown into one of the island’s most cherished annual events. The club extends its heartfelt thanks to all participants, volunteers, and supporters for their contributions to this year’s success.
