This years Open Castle Charity Swim will take place on Sunday 6th August. The swim will start at Castle Cornet Slipway (where the event registration will be based) and finish at the Horseshoe Pool at La Vallette.
The first batch of 50 public swimmers will start at 11.30am and swimmers will then be sent in timed intervals.
This event is open to the public and swimmers will need to pay a minimum donation of £5 with all proceeds being evenly split between Priaulx Premature Baby Foundation, Man Club and the Guernsey Welfare Service. We will also be accepting card payments but this will incur a payment fee of 50p.
The minimum age of this swim is 11 years old on the day of the event. The oldest swimmer to complete the course will be presented with the Bill Green Memorial Trophy which has been presented since 1996.
Swimmers are able to register on the day from 10.30am and we would recommend downloading and completing the events Entry Form from the Guernsey Swimming Club website in advance. This can then be brought along on the day to help ease the registration process for our volunteers.
