The States Cup originates form the Guernsey Swimming Club’s days at La Vallette Bathing Pools and two cups were presented to the club in 1929 – one for the ladies and one for the men. The race is a 200m event as 25m breaststroke, 25m inverted lifesaving breaststroke, 25m breaststroke, 25m inverted lifesaving breaststroke and 100m front crawl.
It’s always great to see our swimmers embracing the ‘fun’ of this event while keeping the history of the club alive.
The event takes place at Beau Sejour on Friday 17th May 2019. Register by 6.45pm with warm up at 7pm. There will be no swimming lessons at Beau Sejour from 7-8pm on this date.
