British Long Distance Swimming Association One Hour Postal Swim 2018

1009 swimmers from all over the world took part in the British Long distance postal swim which was swam earlier in the year in January and February.  Swimmers form the Guernsey Swimming Club have produced some great results both in the individual events and the team events claiming  7 Golds, 5 Silvers and 4 bronze.

Two records were broken by the Guernsey Swimming Club Masters with Esther Iseppi improving on her own record in the 55-59 age group recording a distance of 4020, with Mike Banfield  bettering the record set by Charles Ambler of Isle of Wight Masters set in 2007 to record a new record of 2540 in the 85-89 age category, with their medal total 3 Golds, 2 Silvers and 2 bronze.

Well done to all the swimmers. Medals and cloth badges can be collected from the Gerusney Swimming Club office or from Frank Le Compte for the Masters. We will agein be taking part in the 2019 Postal Swim sometime in January and February 2019.
