There was a fantastic turnout on Saturday 25th August where 320 swimmers took part in the annual Open Castle Charity Swim.
Swimmers from the age of 11 completed the 450/500m course from the Horseshoe Pool at La Vallette finishing on the Castle Cornet Slipway. Mike Banfield was the oldest to complete the swim at 86 years and received the Bill Green Memorial Trophy.
In total we raised £1600 which will be split evenly between Guernsey Mind and The Sunflower Project. A huge thanks to Louvre Group for sponsoring the event and providing the swim caps, hot chocolate and medals for the swimmers. Thanks also go to the support boats.
