Well done to all the Guernsey Swimming Club swimmers who competed in the Barracudas Open Meet which was held over last weekend at Beau Sejour Leisure Centre. This was a level 2 and level 3 meet graded by your entry time with age groups 9, 10, 11, 12/13, 14/15 and 16+. Guernsey Swimming Club competed against swimmers from Calligo Tigers, Jersey Swimming Club, Barracudas, Isle of White and Southampton. This was a good opportunity for the older swimmers to gain consideration times for the Island Games selection and for the younger swimmers to compete at a higher level of completion.
There were some great swims with most swimmers improving their personal best time. 9 year olds Grace Reid and Olly Stephens had some excellent swims picking up gold medals.
