The first day of swimming at the Youth Commonwealth Games in the Bahamas has been successful for the Guernsey girls setting two new Island long course records.
Orla Rabey set a new record in the 50m butterfly finishing 14th in 29.87. Orla also swam in the 200m free in a new personal best time of 2.12.60 finishing 17th overall.
The second record was set by Tatiana Tostevin in the 100m backstroke finishing 11th in a time of 1.06.18. Tatiana also swam the 50m butterfly placing 18th in a new personal best time of 29.87.
Orla, Tatiana and Laura all have swims in the next session.
